| Umberto Trani e Giacometti s.a.s. was founded in Milan in 1915 by the partners Umberto Trani and Leone Giacometti, and entered in the Company Register of Milan in 1917.
The historic events linked to the First World War prevented the company from acquiring a number of technical products from the German market, including brushes. This difficulty led to the foundation of the company.
Umberto Trani e Giacometti immediately entered the field of production of technical brushes, and as the years went by the company remained within this specialised sector with a number of similar products, at the same time making every effort to perfect its production with the introduction of new technology and constant research.
During the Second World War the factory was first destroyed by bombing in 1943, then sacked and burnt in 1944.
During the years, it changed premises three times, each time with improvement in its production processes.
In 1989 Umberto Trani e Giacometti S.p.A. changed its name to the current Trani e Giacometti S.p.A., and moved its head office from Milan to Zibido San Giacomo(MI). |
